O'Sullivan matches Hendry's record
Ronnie O'Sullivan defeated Ricky Walden by 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the 2015 Dafabet Masters and set a special meeting with Marco Fu.

The five-time world champion has also produced two great century breaks (100, 116) to match Stephen Hendry's 775 professional century breaks record. How about that for the third day of the Masters?

Despite the fact that the beginning the match was a bit scrappy, the biggest break after two frames being a 38 one, the Rocket flew at 3-1 up just before the mid-session interval was kicking off with a top break of 77.

However, everything changed (after the match Ronnie admitted that he wasn't wearing his ankle protection, hence the fact he wasn't feeling too comfortable around the table) after the mini-break O'Sullivan hitting in runs of 91 and 100 to go one away from victory.

But all of the sudden Walden got inspired to produce the goods, a splendid break of 100 points keeping the match alive, before the lads got involved into a dramatic 8th frame.

Walden's denied another Masters crown
Although Ronnie seemed to get across the finish-line a missed red on 66 was leaving his opponent in need of two snookers; and after quite an exchange of safety shots, Ricky got a snooker plus a free-ball as a bonus. A tremendous 40 clearance was taking Walden one step further, at 5-3.

Once again, frame nine looked like a done deal for The Rocket, but a surprisingly missed pink to the left-centre pocket was leaving the coast clear for one more Walden-special - a break of 74. This match was still alive.

It could have been a decider, but Ricky missed a red early in the frame, this time O'Sullivan taking full advantage and clearing the table with a beautiful 116 break (incredible fluke on the yellow - brilliant work!) that puts him on the same stage as Stephen Hendry and his 775 century breaks record.

More snooker to come from 7pm when Barry Hawkins meets Ali Carter. Welcome back, Captain!
